About 28 percent of underage drinkers were found to have consumed Bud Light in the past month, 17 percent drank Smirnoff malt beverages, and 15 percent drank Budweiser.
Data of underage drinkers showed that they consume far fewer brands than adults tend to drink, according to the study's co-author David Jernigan, PhD, Director of the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
The study found that other brands popular among underage youth includes:
- Smirnoff Vodkas
- Coors Light
- Jack Daniel’s Bourbons
- Corona Extra
- Mike’s
- Captain Morgan Rums
- Absolut Vodkas
